You may soon enjoy expanded health coverage as PhilHealth’s YAKAP has partnered with several HMO providers and private health insurers to help reduce patients’ out-of-pocket expenses.

Under this agreement, the state insurer will cover the immediate costs, while its partner HMOs and private health insurers will cover additional expenses, such as specialized procedures, branded medications, or hospital room upgrades.

Here are the accredited HMO and PHI partners:

  • Maxicare Healthcare Corp.
  • MediCard Philippines, Inc.
  • PhilhealthCare, Inc.
  • Health Plan Philippines, Inc.
  • United Coconut Planters Life Assurance Corp.
  • Asalus Corp. (Intellicare)
  • Medicare Plus, Inc.
  • Avega Managed Care, Inc.
  • Cooperative Health Management Federation
  • Pacific Cross Health Care, Inc.
  • Insular Health Care, Inc. (iCare)
  • The Manufacturers Life Insurance Co. (Phils.)
  • InLife Benefits Insurance Co., Inc.

Since its rollout in July 2025, PhilHealth YAKAP has broadened the preventive healthcare benefits available to its members. The program includes access to routine diagnostic services, as well as 75 types of maintenance and preventive medicines worth up to P20,000 annually through GAMOT facilities.

Members may also receive coverage for six cancer-detection procedures: colonoscopy, mammography, liver ultrasound, breast ultrasound, Alpha-Fetoprotein testing, and Pap smear.

The program also offers age- and risk-based laboratory screening to members across all age groups. Depending on their health assessment and individual risk factors, these may include a complete blood count, HbA1c, creatinine test, sputum microscopy, urinalysis, fecalysis, and fecal occult blood test.
