Weekend hangs: Vibe with girls, gays, and theys at the Pride Picnic in Rizal Park
Looking to meet new friends and spend some time supporting the local accla community this weekend? The Metro Manila Pride (MMP) organization's Pride Picnic is happening this Saturday, June 18.
Held at the Open Air Auditorial of Rizal Park from 3 PM to 8 PM, the Pride Picnic isn't your usual lunchtime gathering. Aside from the potluck event, they will also offer film screenings, panel discussions, and community learnings.
Local merchants will also be selling vintage merch for visitors looking to bring home some bling. After shopping and walking around the area, visitors may bring their mats, food, pets, and even oracle cards to spend time with the community.
Interested guests can join in on the fun by registering at the link here.
The Pride Picnic just comes a week before the culmination of Pride Month: the much-awaited Metro Manila Pride March held in Pasay City. The Pride March will begin at 10 AM on June 25 with a Queer Arts Exhibit, Proud Street fair, Educational hangouts, and more.
Similar to past marches, the Pride March will end at around 12 midnight.
