Man lands unconscious on mountain after paragliding
A man had to be rescued after landing unconscious on a mountain following a paragliding session.
According to a report by South China Morning Post, the incident took place at Ma On Shan in Hong Kong early this week.
The paraglider needed to be airlifted by helicopter to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in Chai Wan after he was left unconscious upon landing on Ngong Ping Plateau.
Authorities at the Fire Services Department said they received the report on Tuesday afternoon, adding that the man was initially unconscious but regained consciousness moments later.
The Standard, another local media outlet, reported that witnesses said he was not holding onto his paraglider when he fell.
His age, as well as the extent of his injuries, remain unknown as of writing.
An investigation on the matter, including what caused it, is ongoing.
