Eraserheads teases upcoming music festival this May
Fresh off their world tour in Australia, OPM band Eraserheads hinted at an upcoming music festival.
A video featuring a man rubbing his belly with the song Overdrive playing in the background was posted on their Facebook page on Friday, March 21.
"Ǝ-bangan!" they captioned the post, mentioning the Electric Fun Music Festival's page.
On its own social media accounts, the music festival wrote: "Tapos na ang Huling El Bimbo, pero ready ka na ba for some Electric Fun? Malapit na."
This clip was first seen at the end scene of the new Eraserheads: Combo on the Run documentary, which premiered on Friday.
The show will be held on May 31 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque.
Details like seating and ticket prices are still undisclosed, but early bird tickets will be available exclusively through PalawanPay starting March 24.
Eraserheads announced the "Electric Fun Music Festival" after their "Huling El Bimbo" world tour. The tour took them to the USA, Canada, Singapore, Dubai, Doha, Australia, and New Zealand.
The band—composed of Ely Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Raimund Marasigan, and Buddy Zabala—broke up in 2002. They teased about a possible reunion in October 2021 when Buendia said they would make a comeback if former Vice President Leni Robredo ran for president. He later backtracked and said it was a "half-serious" joke when Robredo formalized her bid.
They eventually reunited and performed at a sold-out SMDC Festival Grounds venue. Buendia first teased that there was a documentary in the works in October 2023.
The band came together again in September 2024 to perform at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines' (UAAP) 87th season opening ceremonies.
