Greta Thunberg rehashes Donald Trump's tweet as he exits the White House
Climate activist Greta Thunberg had some parting words for former president Donald Trump upon his departure from the White House ahead of president-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration—and they're all too familiar.
On Wednesday, Jan. 20, Thunberg shared a picture of Trump waving goodbye as he boarded the Marine One en route to the Joint Base Andrews to deliver his final speech.
In her tweet, Thunberg captioned it: “He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!”

Thunberg's followers found the caption familiar and were able to dig Trump's Twitter for proof. Turns out, Trump tweeted the same thing in 2019 in response to the climate activist's UN speech. He wrote, "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!"

Meanwhile, this isn't the first time Thunberg recycled one of Trump's tweets. During the US elections last year, she retweeted Trump's "STOP THE COUNT!" tweet, and wrote: "So ridiculous. Donald must work on his Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Donald, Chill!"
Trump used the same message saying that the then 16-year-old has an "anger management problem."
