It's Showtime host Cianne Dominguez and her family have filed a criminal complaint against model Shervey Torno who has been accused of attempting to rape her at her apartment on April 11.
Dominguez's father, Johng Florendo, took to Facebook in a now-deleted post to talk about the incident.
"She was attemptedly raped by this guy named Shervey S. Torno[,] a gay bar dancer and performer," he said.
A Quezon City Police Department (QCPD) report stated that the It's Showtime host was heading to the eighth floor while the suspect was going to the 11th. Torno followed her as she got off, causing the victim to rush to her unit and close the door.
The suspect knocked and when Dominguez opened the door slightly, he asked, "Anong Facebook mo 'te, ang ganda mo kase."
The police report continues to detail that Torno put his arm around the victim's waist and forcibly kissed her.
"Good thing my daughter is strong enough to resist, and the suspect ran. My daughter took [video] footage of him as he's escaping," Florendo said in his post.
As he was escaping, Torno was stopped by a security guard at the condominium.
The suspect was turned over to Kamuning Police Station 10 where he faces charges of Foiled Sexual Assault before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office.
"Magdoble ingat tayo sa lahat ng oras at ireport agad ang ganitong mga pangyayari. Tinitiyak ng QCPD sa biktima na pagbabayaran ng suspek ang kanyang ginawa dahil walang puwang dito sa ating lungsod ang mga ganitong klaseng tao," Quezon City Police Chief Brigadier General REdrico Maranan said.
Dominguez's father shared that the TV host is "under trauma" after the incident. Meanwhile, Dominguez has yet to issue a statement as of writing.
