James Reid's business partner and Careless CEO detained due to alleged lack of visa, work permits
James Reid's business partner in his entertainment company Careless has been detained at the Bureau of Immigration (BI) facility in Taguig.
In the Today's Talk segment of GMA's Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Tuesday, Aug. 8, the "King of Talk" said Careless chief executive officer Jeffrey Oh was arrested last July 28 due to alleged lack of visa and work permits.
"Inaresto si Jeffrey ng mga immigration operatives noong July 28 sa Poblacion, Makati matapos makatanggap ang Bureau of Immigration ng reklamo na wala diumanong visa at work permit si Jeffrey,” Abunda said, noting it was confirmed by BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval.
Abunda said he tried to confirm with the BI who filed the complaint, but Sandoval refused to give details.
Oh, a Korean-American entrepreneur, also owns several restaurants and bars in Poblacion.
Careless is a record label founded by Reid and Bret Jackson in 2017. Its roster of artists includes Liza Soberano and most recently, Issa Pressman.
PhilSTAR L!fe reached out to Careless for comment, but has yet to receive a reply.
