Chris Hemsworth to visit Philippines on June 5 for 'Extraction 2' premiere
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth is visiting the Philippines on June 5 for the red carpet premiere of his latest movie Extraction 2, the sequel to the 2020 action thriller, streaming giant Netflix announced.
“I don’t want you to miss out so please come join me. It’ll be fun," Hemsworth told Filipino fans in a video message. “Can’t wait to see you all there soon. Take care.”
Director Sam Hargrave will join Hemsworth during the premiere.
Based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, Extraction revolves around Tyler Rake (Hemsworth), a former Australian Army Special Air Service Regiment operator turned blacks ops mercenary. He has a mission to save an Indian crime lord's kidnapped son in Bangladesh, but was double-crossed in the process.
After barely surviving the events of the first movie, Tyler is tasked with another deadly mission: to rescue the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.
