The Philippines placed 19th in TasteAtlas's list of 50 best cuisines worldwide for the month of June.

In the ranking posted by the online food travel guide last June 3, the country got an average score of 4.38 out of 5. This month's top cuisine is Italy, home to pasta and pizza, with a score of 4.78.

This month's ranking was calculated based on the average score of the 30 best dishes, beverages, and food products each nation has. "Countries that are not on the list do not have enough items rated," TasteAtlas noted.

On the website, the Philippines's best-rated dishes include tortang talong, lumpiang shanghai, sinigang, inasal na manok, and daing na bangus.

The country's most popular dishes, according to the rankings, include pancit, lechon, sisig, adobo, and kare-kare.

The Philippine cuisine has been recognized by TasteAtlas several times. Last March, lumpiang shanghai and tortang talong were the best-rated food in Southeast Asia, alongside Indonesia's bubur ayam.

This January, sinigang na baboy was named as the top soup dish of 2021 among 100 entries. That same year, adobo and sisig was among the world's 100 best dishes.

In December 2021, lechon, bibingka, lugaw, and kesong puti made it to TasteAtlas's 100 most popular Christmas dishes.

Kare-kare, lechon, and crispy pata were also among its 100 best traditional dishes in the world in 2019.
