World Pet Expo expected to break records and make history

Following a successful inaugural run that brought together thousands of pet lovers and their beloved companions, World Pet Expo (WPE) returns for its highly anticipated second edition on Sept. 24 to 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
Organized by Worldbex Services International, the country’s leading exhibition and events organizer for nearly three decades, WPE 2026 carries the theme “The Fur-fect Partner,” strengthening its commitment to creating an inclusive platform where pet owners, enthusiasts, industry professionals, advocates, communities, and brands can connect through their shared passion for animals.
The inaugural edition of WPE made an impressive debut, welcoming more than 35,780 visitors and 16,840 pets, with over 122 exhibitors occupying 229 booths. Building on this strong foundation, WPE 2026 is set to deliver an even bigger and more diverse experience, bringing together more brands, communities, activities, and opportunities for visitors to discover. Pre-registration for World Pet Expo 2026 closed on Sept. 19 with a record 50,000 registrants, surpassing last year’s pre-registration turnout and marking a significant surge in anticipation for this year’s highly awaited event!
Going beyond the traditional pet expo experience, WPE 2026 brings different corners of the pet community together under one roof. Visitors can explore dedicated experiences featuring canines, felines, aquatic life, avian species, exotic pets, grooming, veterinary care and wellness, pet technology, and pet retail.
Adding even more excitement to the four-day celebration is an extensive lineup of pet competitions, shows, and special showcases featuring a wide variety of animal communities and enthusiasts. These include the Cat Grooming Competition by the International Society of Feline Cosmetologists Philippines; Dog Grooming Certification and Competition by the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists Asia; Cat Competition by the Philippine Feline Club; Rabbit and Cavy Show by the Philippine Rabbit & Cavy Club; and the Pawshion Show by PETSOLOGIST.
Aquatic enthusiasts can look forward to the World Betta Showdown: Bettaranong Pilipino—The Light of Apolaki, presented by the Philippine Betta Federation and United Aquatics Federation. Alongside this competition is the Deep Blue International Molly and Guppy Competition, where judges from across Southeast Asia and Taiwan will gather to be part of the event. Other featured competitions include the Syrian Hamster Competition 2026, World Bully Competition by the Philippines Best Bullies Registry and Philippine All Breed Kennel Club, and WPE Cluck and Crown: The Fancy Chicken & Ayam Serama Tabletop Show.
The four-day event will also feature competitions, expert talks and educational seminars, live demonstrations, interactive activities, pet showcases, and special attractions.
Adding valuable perspectives on pet health and responsible ownership, WPE 2026 will also feature veterinarians Dr. Nielsen Donato, Dr. Gab Almera, and Dr. Abel Manalo, who will share their expertise and insights with the pet-loving community.
