You can always count on Pinoys to find humor when faced with issues and disappointments. After the whole "Love the Philippines" fiasco, Filipino netizens reacted to the situation with memes.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) launched the new "Love the Philippines" slogan on June 27 to mark the 50th anniversary of Philippine Tourism. However, the campaign video was met with criticism after it was revealed that the advertising firm, DDB Philippines, had used non-original footage in the video.

Social media users were quick to point out the discrepancies in the video, creating memes that poked fun at the ad.

One such post is by veteran human rights lawyer Atty. Chel Diokno when he striked a pose in the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. He captioned he tweet, "Ang ganda dito sa Intramuros!"

Other netizens in the reply section left their versions of notable tourist spots abroad that resemble the Philippines.

As the saying goes, "When it rains, it pours." And so it did on Twitter, where a deluge of memes and tweets comparing international tourist spots to places in the Philippines began to pour in.

Take a look at them below.
