Want to own a Tesla? Here's how much it costs in the PH
We've long admired Tesla's sleek, minimalist designs and innovative EV technology from afar. From seeing celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Pharell Williams in their Cybertrucks to hailing random Tesla Ubers, we can only dream of owning one ourselves one day. Now, with its recent local launch, we can finally witness the future of e-vehicles in the Philippines.
But the biggest question on everyone's mind is undoubtedly: how much does a Tesla cost in the Philippines?
Well, if you have at least P2.1 million to spare, you can own one.
During its launch on Nov. 8, Tesla Philippines announced the pricing for its Model 3 sedan trims. The base Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive starts at P2,109,000, offering a range of 513 kilometers and a top speed of 201 kilometers per hour.
For those seeking more range and performance, the Model 3 Long Range is priced at P2,489,000, boasting a range of 629 kilometers and the same top speed. At the top of the line is the Model 3 Performance, priced at P3,099,000, with a range of 528 kilometers and an impressive top speed of 262 kilometers per hour.
The Model Y lineup is also available in the Philippines. It provides seating and storage options for up to five passengers, with 2.1 cubic meters of cargo space.
The base Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive is priced at P2,369,000, offering a range of 455 kilometers and a top speed of 217 kilometers per hour on a single charge.
Meanwhile, the Model Y Long Range is priced at P2,689,000 and has a range of 533 kilometers and a 5.0-second acceleration time. Tesla's top-of-the-line Model Y Performance is priced at P3,299,000, with a range of 514 kilometers, a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and a 3.7-second acceleration time.
These prices are exclusive of fees, including a P15,000 order fee, a P12,000 delivery and admin fee, and an interest rate as low as 22.88% every year for five years if availing installments. Delivery will be in early 2025.
Apart from this, there's The Tesla Design Studio located along the Uptown Parade in Bonifacio Global City. It allows customers to create a truly personalized vehicle, customizing everything from the interior and exterior to specific features.
The country's first indoor Supercharger station will also open soon at Uptown Mall in BGC, with more stations opening in "popular destinations across the country."
In case you're wondering about the charging costs, Tesla Philippines will implement a pay-per-use system for Supercharging, charging customers P19 per kilowatt-hour. A typical full charge costs approximately P1,140.
And, in a move to make the country a greener place to live, Tesla owners can experience the luxury of being exempt from number coding.
