Woman found dead in closet of resort room; guests spent night unaware of her hidden corpse

A woman was found dead inside a closet of a resort room even as guests spent the night there without knowing about the hidden corpse.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office, in a statement, said the body of Nadyne Marie Tillman, 43, of Key Largo island in Florida was found on April 8, Tuesday, in a room where a man named Dylan Lamb, 33, had stayed. She had injuries consistent with being beaten.

According to investigators, Tillman and Lamb allegedly met on April 5, Saturday, at the resort he had booked the previous day.

The Miami Herald reported that Lamb, a tour guide, was asked to move to another room to accommodate new guests but refused.

He checked out on April 6, Sunday, and cleaning staff found bloodied and soiled sheets in yard waste bags.

But they reportedly threw the sheets away without informing the police.

Tillman's family member, meanwhile, reported her missing, as they haven't heard from her since April 5, calling it unusual.

After Lamb checked out, new guests stayed in the room but didn't notice Tillman's body.

Later on, authorities found her body wedged into a crawl space in the room’s air conditioning closet.

“They stayed the night and checked out Monday, none the wiser about the body,” a source said.

Lamb was later arrested. PEOPLE Magazine, citing the Monroe County arrest roster, reported that Lamb has been charged with second-degree murder, kidnapping, evidence destroying, and procuring another for prostitution.

His arraignment has been scheduled for next week.

"I want to thank the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office for working around the clock to make an arrest in this case,” Sheriff Rick Ramsay said. “While the investigation remains ongoing, there do not appear to be any other individuals involved in this incident.”
