Seems like Wednesday won’t be switching platforms!

On Jan. 6, the streaming giant hinted at renewing the hit series, with a short clip wherein Wednesday, portrayed by Jenna Ortega, is seen typing the phrase "The end?" on her typewriter.

Twitter users has been suspecting that Netflix has begun teasing Wednesday season 2, with comments like, "SEASON 2 LETS GOOO."

Another user added, "GIVE US SEASON 2" while one commented, "I can't wait for season 2."

Netflix has so far been mum about the show's potential second chapter as, according to an Elle report, the series was only commissioned for one season. However, its creators have previously expressed intent on exploring more of Wednesday's characters.

Talking to the Screen Rant, Wednesday co-creator Alfred Gough said, "‘Miles (Millar, his fellow creator) and I are talking amongst ourselves about it. There's definitely more that you can explore in the world of the Addamses,’ he said.

Prior to Netflix teasing a potential season 2, it was reported that the supernatural-comedy horror series might be moving to Amazon after it recently closed a merger for $8.5 billion with Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer (MGM), which owns the rights to the Wednesday series. On the contrary, Amazon said that it has no plans to make all MGM content exclusive to Prime Video.

Wednesday is one of the hottest hits on Netflix, beating Stranger Things as the most-watched show on the platform in just a single week. It has been on the platform's top ten for six weeks as of writing.
