Miss International Queen PH to be held in July
The date is set for the 2025 edition of Miss International Queen Philippines.
The prestigious pageant for transgender people in the country will be held on July 9 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, with the theme, "Transforming together."
"Malala ang aasahan ng mga pageants fans for this year's edition. I've been waiting for this for almost three years, and now na ako na yung president, marami akong binago, which include the [theme] transformation because I want the [candidates] to experience yung pageant na hindi nila makakalimutan," Tei Endencia, president of the MIQPH Organization, said in an interview with PhilSTAR L!fe during the pageant's press presentation at Aquila Crystal Palace in Tagaytay City.
He added, "For this time, gusto ko baguhin yung mga nasasabi nila sa Miss International Queen Philippines. Mabubura 'yun, mapapalitan 'yun ng saya at mako-compare siguro tayo with other pageants siguro."
While the ticketing details of MIQPH 2025 have yet to be announced, this year's edition includes 48 delegates from all over the country. These include a mix of fresh faces, pageant veterans, and returnees.
Among these are Michelle Bermudez (Miss International Queen 2023 first runner-up), Anne Patricia Lorenzo (Miss Equality World 2023 first runner-up), Kirk Virtudazo Popiolek (Queen Philippines 2024), and Nicole Guevarra Flores (Eat Bulaga's Super Sireyna Worldwide 2018).
In 2024, the Philippines was represented by Sophia Nicole Arkanghel at Miss International Queen 2024 in Thailand, where she finished in the Top 6.
The country has three Miss International Queen crowns, with Fuschia Anne Ravena winning the most recent title in 2022, Trixie Maristela in 2015, and Kevin Balot in 2012.
