'The Office' star Ewen MacIntosh dies at 50
Ewen MacIntosh, who famously portrayed the accountant Keith in the British version of The Office, has died. He was 50.
MacIntosh’s management company JustRight confirmed the news on X on Feb. 21.
“With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved comedy genius Ewen MacIntosh,” it said. “His family thanks all who supported him, especially Willow Green Care Home," a nursing home in England.
The cause of his death was not specified.
JustRight said there will be a private cremation for his family and close friends soon, as well as a celebratory memorial later in the year.
The Office co-creator Ricky Gervais took to X to mourn MacIntosh’s passing, calling him "an absolute original."

Ed Scott, MacIntosh’s close friend who founded the company Dodged a Bullet Music, on X said he’s “completely devastated” by his loss.
“Ewen was so full of empathy, kindness, and integrity and above all a really good man,” Scott continued.
He thanked the medical staff for the “incredible care and love” as MacIntosh, he said, “brought a smile to their days.”
“I saw first hand the empathy and incredible care they gave him was just so reassuring during the toughest of times,” Scott said, “and am forever grateful to them all. I will really miss you mate.”
Aside from The Office, MacIntosh also appeared on television shows like Miranda, Little Britain, and After Life.
He also had roles in movies like The Confusion of Tongues and The Lobster.
