In case you missed it, San Miguel Corporation (SMC)’s tollways are waived on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

SMC said it won’t collect toll fees in Southern Tagalog Arterial Road, South Luzon Expressway, the Skyway System, NAIA Expressway, and the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway from 10 p.m. of Dec. 31 to 6 a.m. of Jan. 1.

It also waived toll fees last Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

“This annual tradition is our way of showing the Christmas spirit, especially for those who for some reason will have to travel late and try to get home to their loved ones,” SMC said in a statement.

“Through this, we hope to help spread the Filipino Christmas spirit, and also wish our countrymen well at the start of the new year.”

In any case, the company advised motorists to plan their trips ahead due to the impending traffic.

It also noted that there were no modifications to the toll booth setups or operations at NAIAX and Skyway.
