We’re only a few moments away from meeting the next Miss Universe queen.
This year, 125 candidates from different countries and territories will showcase their beauty, charisma, and elegance at the coronation night, which will be held at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Sunday, Nov. 17, Philippine time.
The new edition will also introduce a new format. From the 126, the first cut will see 30 semifinalists advance to the next round of the competition, the swimsuit portion. The 30 semifinalists include the four continental queens representing Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, and one fan vote winner.
Afterward, seven more candidates will be eliminated as only 12 will continue for the evening gown runway.
The final five will then be selected to compete in the question-and-answer round. After the Q&A, the winner will be decided, and the four runners-up will be named.
The 25-year-old beauty queen Chelsea Manalo is vying for the country’s fifth crown after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
The grand coronation night will also be airing and streaming on ABS-CBN platforms including A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC.
