Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office General Manager Melquiades “Mel” A. Robles received the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Merit Medal and Ribbon during a ceremony at PCG headquarters in Manila on Thursday.
The award recognized his volunteerism, compassion, and commitment to public service.
Robles, an auxiliary commodore in the PCGA, was cited for his contributions in advancing the welfare of PCG personnel and continued service to the public.
The PCG said Robles's continued support has helped ease their burdens and strengthen their morale as they carried out their duties.
“PCSO and the Philippine Coast Guard are united by a common purpose: to serve and help the people, especially in times of greatest need,” said Robles.
