Spiral, the buffet restaurant at the closing Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, has said its goodbyes.

On June 29, the hotel's restaurant shared its farewell message to patrons, writing, "With a mix of gratitude and sadness, we would like to inform you that Spiral is set to embark on its final culinary [journey]."

"Your laughter, your conversations, and your delight in our culinary adventures have filled Spiral with life and joy."

Spiral also thanked its chefs and staff workers for their work at the restaurant.

"Our deepest thanks to our master culinary artisans whose creativity and passion brought each dish to life. Their dedication made us a place of extraordinary adventure and joy," the statement read.

"The metro's most interactive dining destination now bids adieu," it ended.

In addition to Spiral, Sofitel's Snaps Sports Bar also wrote about its "last cheers."

"From buzzer-beaters to home runs, you've made every game day unforgettable. Thank you for cheering, jeering, and making this bar a home run spot for sports enthusiasts and gastronomes alike. One last cheers for the road tonight!" it said.

Facebook users went on a stroll through memory lane in the comments section of Spiral Manila's post as they thanked the restaurant for the good times.

"Thank you, [Spiral]. Thank you for the happy memories. We will miss the food. See you again," one user wrote.

"Will miss this cheese room," said another as they posted a photo of the restaurant's cheese board.

"It's so sad. Thank you for the wonderful experience. My daughter's debut was the best because we celebrated it here. Thank you and we will remember you forever," added another.

"Glad that we experienced this last June 21, my daughter['s] graduation dinner treat. Salute to all Spiral staff. We will miss you[,] Sofitel," said a user.

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila confirmed in May that it was closing its doors after almost five decades of operations.

Operations would close and cease on July 1, the five-star hotel said in a statement to PhilSTAR L!fe.

The hotel said that this decision is part of its commitment to "provide guests and colleagues with the best possible experience."
