Attention, commuters! Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 will offer free rides on Wednesday, June 12 in celebration of the 126th Independence Day.

MRT-3 announced on Tuesday, June 11 that it will offer free rides during peak hours from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and in the afternoon to early evening from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The LRT-1 also announced that it will implement its free rides at the same peak hours from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It added that it will proceed with its normal holiday schedule, which will begin at 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on stations Baclaran at Fernando Poe Jr., respectively.

Line 2 will also offer free rides at the same window hours. It will also follow the same operating hours from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Recto and Antipolo stations, respectively.
