EastWest Ageas wins Quill and Anvil Awards
EastWest Ageas scored wins for our brand transition campaign from two prestigious award-giving bodies: an Award of Merit from the 20th Philippine Quill Awards and a Silver Award from the 59th Anvil Awards.
The two respected organizations recognize exemplary bodies of work in business communications, marketing, and public relations. “We are honored to receive these awards as they show that we are on the right track on our journey to even greater success. And I am immensely proud of our team,” shared President and CEO Sjoerd Smeets.
An homage to the partnership
EastWest Ageas (EWA), formerly Troo, started its life insurance operations in the Philippines in 2015. It ranked 34th in its first year and reached the 12th spot by the end of 2022. Now, EWA aims to grow even further in the industry by leveraging our strong corporate culture, as well as a range of customer-centric business transformations.
And the first transformation was the brand itself.
“We needed a name that captures our ambitions to grow and serve more Filipinos so they can have a better tomorrow while also reinforcing our story to the public,” Joub Miradora, chief customer officer said. "And the story was the partnership between EastWest Bank, one of the country’s fastest-rising banks with 30 years of local experience, and Ageas, the Belgium-based global insurance company with 200 years of insurance expertise."
This led to its rebranding to EastWest Ageas.
New name, new heights
With EastWest Ageas as its brand name, the awareness doubled for both EastWest Bank customers and the market. Another notable improvement was the company’s Net Promoter Score (NPS). The brand refresh, combined with smoother interactions and quicker resolutions owing to upgraded technology, has resulted in a considerable rise in our NPS scores and customer trust.
More than just bearing a new name, the customer-centric philosophy that underpins all EastWest Ageas’ initiatives is propelling the company to new heights.
More to come
With these recognitions from the Philippine Quill Awards and the Anvil Awards, the brand transition is a testament to the power of taking risks and embracing the promise that transformation brings.
Expect more from EastWest Ageas in 2024 as the company continues to build a better tomorrow for all Filipinos.
