Lars Pacheco ends Miss International Queen bid in top 6

Philippines’ Lars Pacheco ended her Miss International Queen journey in the Top 6 during the coronation night held in Thailand on June 24, Saturday.

Miss International Queen, deemed as the “world's biggest beauty pageant for transgender women,” crowned Netherlands’ Solange Dekker as the winner, with Singapore’s Qatrisha Zairyah Kamsir as the first runner-up, and USA’s Melony Munro as second runner-up.

Lars donned a custom-made Chico Estiva blue gown with a high slit and a detachable featherback prop that resembled wings for her evening look.

During the question and answer portion, Lars was asked, “What are the challenges that new generation is facing today and what will you say to them to solve the problem?” She then urged the youth to “keep going.”

"I think the problem that the youth is facing today is the pressure. I believe that life, even if it’s not youth, we have pressure, we have challenges that we have to face. But I think the most message that I could give to everyone is whatever problems and challenges that you have, you just have to keep going. You should not let any circumstances stop you from reaching and achieving your goals in life. Because I believe that at the end of the day, no matter how hard the pressure is, life always goes on," she said.

Lars is best known for her second-runner-up finish in the first season of ABS-CBN's It's Showtime drag pageant Miss Q and A.

She was hoping to win the Miss International Queen pageant for the fourth time in a row, following Fuschia Anne Ravena's victory in 2022.

The Philippines has three Miss International Queen crowns, with Fuschia Anne winning the most recent title last year, Trixie Maristela in 2015, and Kevin Balot in 2012.
