Man who was banned from biking jailed after going to probation meeting by cycling
A man from England who was banned from cycling got imprisoned after attending his probation meeting… by cycling.
BBC reported that Jake Carter, 27, was banned from using a bike or e-scooter in Chelmsford city in Essex county.
Carter breached the order twice and, on one occasion, went to his appointment on two-wheelers.
Essex police said the ban had been imposed after Carter allegedly assaulted “multiple” women as he cycled up to them.
"Carter demonstrated a complete lack of respect for his Criminal Behaviour Order by breaching it within days of it being issued," Sgt. Graham Thomas said.
Carter admitted to breaching the order, which was given "to keep the wider public safe from Carter's actions and limit his ability to cause further distress to the public."
He was sentenced to 11 months in prison following the breach.
He was previously given a six-week term after his alleged assault on multiple women, according to Essex Live.
