Here's how PWDs, senior citizens, students can get discounts on ride-hailing services

Grab

Eligible Grab users in the Philippines, including senior citizens, PWDs, students, and national athletes and coaches, can enjoy special discounts on selected Grab services. 

To apply for the discount, you must go to their Help Center in the app and click on the "How do I apply for a special discount" button. Afterwards, scroll down and click on the "Email us" button.

You must then choose the correct type for your application and indicate the Grab service where you'll use the discount. Provide your Grab-registered phone number and email address, and upload clear photos or scanned copies of the required IDs. 

You must ensure that the name on your Grab account matches the name on the IDs.

Once approved, you can now avail a 20% discount on rides and select food items. You can also get 5% off on essential items when you use Mart, capped at P2,500 per week.

Angkas

Angkas also follows the law mandating a 20% fare discount for eligible persons on public transport vehicles.

To apply, you can simply fill out a form for PWDs, senior citizens, and students.

For PWDs, you will be asked to submit a document showing the front and back of your PWD ID and to specify the type of disability you have. For senior citizens, you must also submit a document showing your senior ID as well as another valid government ID.

Students are meanwhile required to submit a copy of their registration form and school ID. The discount will remain valid for the duration specified on your registration form.

Once you submit the form, processing and validation will take at least seven business days.

Lalamove

To enjoy special discounts on Lalamove, simply go to their Help Center when you open the app and click on the "Coupons, Promotions, and Discounts" tab.

You will then see an "Apply Now" button where you must select the type of application and submit the appropriate requirements, such as your PWD ID, senior citizen ID, student ID, and one other valid government ID.

JoyRide

For qualified JoyRide users, you can avail the special discount by filling out their application form, which you can access through this link.

You will be asked to input your JoyRide-registered name, mobile number, and email address, and submit the necessary requirements. For senior citizens, it requires their senior ID and another valid government ID, and for PDS, you will need to upload your PWD and another valid government ID.

Students must upload their registration form and a valid school ID.

inDrive

If you're using inDrive, open the side menu on their app and click on the "Social Discount" tab at the bottom.

You must then choose whether you're a PWD, a senior citizen, a student, a national athlete, or a coach and upload the necessary ID, a selfie of you holding your ID, and other important requirements.

Processing takes up to one to five days, excluding weekends and holidays. Once you complete the verification process, you can enjoy an automatic 20% discount on your fares.

Move It

Qualified Move It users are also entitled to a 20% discount on their fares. This extends to national athletes, coaches, and Medal of Valor awardees.

To apply, you can go to their Help Center and prepare the necessary requirements as specified in the table. Keep in mind that the name on the app and ID must match.

The special discount will be provided in the form of a digital voucher for manual input during the booking of Move It’s MotoTaxi transport service. This discount does not apply to Move It’s delivery service.

Each special discount voucher code can be used up to six times.
