Angcars is here: How to book a car ride via Angkas

Published Oct 08, 2024 4:52 pm

Grab alternative Angcars is now live.

Users on Angkas can now book cars through the ride-hailing app. This adds to the current services offered in the app including booking a motorcycle taxi and a courier.

"Angcars tara na!" the platform wrote in a Facebook post, adding that the feature is still in beta mode. "Goal lang naman namin maging second best," it quipped.

To book a ride, open the Angkas app and tap on Angcars beta, then select your pickup and drop-off location. A maximum of four passengers can hop on the trip.

According to the app, you can book a ride in Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, and BGC. "Expanding soon," it said.

Users can pay via credit/debit cards or digital wallets such as GCash.

They can also add notes to the driver regarding their location.

Angkas announced earlier in February that it would add a four-wheel service to its offerings.

“Angcars is designed to be an advanced ride-hailing app that seamlessly blends affordability with user-friendly navigation,” the company's CEO George Royeca said during a town hall earlier in the year.

Royeca also said there would be additional options like Angcars Economy and Angcars Plus, which would allow passengers to choose between four- or six-seater rides. However, the beta version has yet to offer these alternatives.

Angcars adds to the available ride-hailing services for users in Metro Manila alongside Grab, InDrive, and JoyRide Car.
