Miss Universe confirms Thailand as host country for 2025
Sawadeeka, Miss Universe! The Miss Universe 2025 is ready to bring the stage to Thailand.
In a new teaser from the Miss Universe Organization, titleholder Viktoria Thaelvig receives a phone call a mysterious caller. The caller states, "The people have decided," leading into a montage of beautiful Thailand.
"THE MOMENT WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR... Unveiling the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe competition... Where kindness meets tradition and warm smiles welcome the world," it wrote in the caption.
The MUO previously announced that the Philippines, along with Spain, Costa Rica, South Africa, Nigeria, and the Dominican Republic, were being considered as potential host countries for this year.
Both Thailand and the Philippines have a rich history with the Miss Universe pageant. Thailand has hosted three times (1992, 2005, and 2018), with the 2018 event being particularly memorable for Filipinos as Catriona Gray won the title. Meanwhile, the Philippines has also hosted three times (1974, 2016, and 2022).
