Only a few more days until the Paris 2024 Olympics!

The Olympics is set to ignite the world from July 26 to August 11. While everyone's excited to see the world's best athletes compete, there's something else people are curious about: where do these athletes stay?

The Olympic Village, which provides a supportive and inclusive environment where athletes can focus on their performances, becomes the athletes' home away from home during the period. It is set to be the central hub for athletes during the games, providing them with accommodation, dining facilities, training areas, and various amenities.

According to its website, the Village will extend across parts of three cities: Saint-Denis, Saint Ouen, and L'Île-Saint-Denis. It has been designed to house 14,250 athletes during the Olympic Games and 8,000 during the Paralympic Games. Additionally, it will provide up to 60,000 meals daily and will have a fully operational medical clinic available for the athletes.

Meanwhile, excitement and anticipation were building among Team Philippines as the initial group of Filipino athletes arrived at the Athlete’s Village over the weekend.

Take a look below at what the Olympic Village looks like based on the posts of these Pinoy athletes.

Rooms

The Olympic Village offers modern and comfortable accommodations for thousands of athletes worldwide, including apartment-style housing with living spaces, bedrooms, and shared amenities.

On TikTok, Pinoy gymnast Levi Ruivivar shared a glimpse of their temporary home, including the famous cardboard bed. According to her, it is "so stable" that she can jump up and down on it.

The store's floor is also designed to look like a track and field oval.

Training Areas

There are designated training areas within or near the village where athletes can prepare for their events. These may include gyms, practice fields, swimming pools, and other sports-specific facilities.
