Court issues arrest warrant against Curlee Discaya, 10 others
A Bulacan court has ordered the arrest of contractor Curlee Discaya and 10 other individuals linked to the widening flood control scandal.
The Malolos Regional Trial Court Branch 20 issued the warrant in relation to malversation of public funds charges filed by the Ombudsman over allegedly anomalous projects in the province.
Also among individuals named in the warrant is Discaya's wife Sarah and former DPWH engineers Brice Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza.
Discaya has been under Senate custody since September 2025 after the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee cited him in contempt for allegedly providing inconsistent information about his wife Sarah's absence during the committee's flood control hearings.
Sarah is currently jailed in the Lapu-Lapu City Jail Female Dormitory in Mactan, Cebu for the non-bailable charges of graft and malversation in connection to her involvement with the P96.5-million ghost flood control project in Davao Occidental.
This is a developing story.
