Man sets bar on fire, kills 11 after getting kicked out for disrespecting women
A man killed 11 people by setting a bar on fire after he got thrown out for misbehaving with women.
According to a report by NBC News, the incident took place at the Commercial Colony of San Luis Rio Colorado on July 22.
Described as “young, male, and highly intoxicated,” the suspect got escorted out of the establishment for disrespecting some ladies, which made him decide to throw “a kind of Molotov cocktail at the doors of the bar.”
Of the 11 people who were reported dead, seven of them were men and four were women. According to The Sonora Attorney General's Office, at least four people are now recovering at local hospitals in Sonora and Arizona.
“The four injured people are receiving the best medical care possible and are being supported by the Sonora State Secretary of Health,” its statement read.
State attorney general Gustavo Romulo Salas said in the conference that one of the victims was only 17 years old, while another one was a U.S. citizen.
City Mayor Santos Gonzalez said the man responsible for the arson attack has been arrested.
