Meteorologist charms viewers after bringing her baby on-air

A meteorologist in Wisconsin just caught lightning in a bottle by delivering a live weather forecast—while holding her 13-week-old daughter in her arms.

Rebecca Schuld of CBS 58 News has just resumed working (from home) after taking her maternity leave. And she marked her comeback with a special cameo from her precious Fiona.

“She’s prepared. She’s got one of her good thick blankies here for that cold weather that’s coming up tonight,” Schuld said of her baby during the livestream of her weather report.

In fact, Schuld told Yahoo Life that Fiona's appearance wasn't exactly planned, as it was her producer's idea.

“I was just minutes away from having my next weather broadcast, and my baby had just woken up,” Yahoo Life quoted Schuld as saying. “I go over to my greenwall. I’m holding her and our producer is like, ‘Oh, your baby, is she gonna make an appearance?'"

"I was very confident she was going to behave because she just took a long nap so I knew she'd be happy. I said, 'sure,” she added.

Schuld also bared that she felt "slightly guilty," as she's a public figure who has to maintain a professional image. But she said she quickly realized that being a mom is not really something that should put her day job in a bad light.

"When I sat and thought about it, it's like, why am I guilty? This is real life. This is what everyone else is also doing," Schuld said. "They work, their kids are sick, or their kids are crying in the background. It's always a challenge when you have kids in the mix, but that's what so many of us are doing everyday. So why are we hiding them?"

Schuld’s honesty earned the respect of her colleagues and netizens, while Baby Fiona's innocent cooperation with her working mom has left them awestruck and giggling.

"Crazy amounts of cute during this @cbs58weather forecast on @CBS58! She’s beautiful," Nicole Koglin told Schuld, followed by the hashtags #WorkingMom, #WorkingFromHome, and #RealLife.

CBS 58 Director Jessie Garcia, meanwhile, said she loved seeing Schuld on air with her daughter, as they're "so sweet together!"
