Justin Bieber says he is not among Sean Comb's alleged sex trafficking victims

Justin Bieber, through a representative, revealed that he is not among the victims of alleged sex trafficking by American rapper and record producer Sean "Diddy" Combs.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, Bieber's spokesperson highlighted that while the Baby singer is not among Comb's speculated victims, "there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him."

"Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve," the representative said amidst the rap mogul's ongoing trial, which began on May 12.

The Honest singer's name got involved after a resurfaced video clip showing Combs spending time with a 15-year-old Bieber gained renewed attention in March 2024, following raids on the rapper's properties amid growing allegations against him.

The video, originally posted on Bieber's YouTube channel in 2009, captured the pair during a 48-hour hangout. While Combs declined to reveal their plans, they were seen talking about meeting "some girls."

In case you missed it, Combs is now incarcerated on charges of sex trafficking and leading an illegal sex ring that enforced its power with crimes including arson, kidnapping, and bribery. However, he has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Likewise, Marc Agnifilo, the rapper's attorney, has also confirmed that "mutual" violence did occur in Combs' past relationship with Cassie Ventura, elaborating that there was "hitting on both sides" and that such behavior was "relevant in terms of the coercive aspects" of the case.

This came after Ventura told jurors that Combs raped, beat, and forced her into drug-fueled sex parties during their more than 10 years together—excruciating accounts that opened her up to scrutiny from Combs' legal team.

But the defense contends that while Ventura's relationship with Combs was complicated and included domestic abuse, it did not amount to sex trafficking and that she behaved erratically and even violently herself.

Furthermore, prosecutors stated that Dawn Richard—a singer who rose to fame on MTV’s reality series Making the Band, produced by Combs—will be one of the upcoming witnesses.

Richard filed a lawsuit against Combs last year, accusing him of sexual assault and battery. In her court filings, she claimed to have seen Combs physically abuse Ventura. The trial is expected to extend throughout the summer.
