Marcos votes in Batac, Ilocos Norte with mother, sister
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. fulfilled his civic duty by voting in Batac, Ilocos Norte, for the 2025 midterm elections.
Marcos arrived at Mariano Marcos Memorial Elementary School at 7:05 a.m. He was accompanied by his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and his sister, Irene Marcos-Araneta, to vote early Monday morning.
While Marcos’ eldest son Sandro was seen by the door, he will be joining his mother, First Lady Liza Marcos, and brothers Simon and Vincent to vote later in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
Marcos publicly endorsed Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas. In a vlog released two days prior to the elections, he asserted that the team's "superpower" qualified them for Senate seats.
“Sa record nila, sa kanilang nagawa na at sa kanilang nais gawin, maliwanag na maliwanag na ang superpower niyang lahat ng kandidato ng Alyansa ay ang pagmamahal sa kapwa Pilipino,” Marcos said.
On May 12, voting started at 5 a.m. for senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities, while regular voting hours are observed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
