By AYIE LICSI Published Jun 04, 2024 3:26 pm

Kuya Kim Atienza wants to let his followers know that he's alive and well.

The TV host took to his Facebook and Instagram pages to shut down a video circulating on TikTok claiming that he has already passed.

The said fake clip comes from an account posing as GMA Integrated News as it copied the company's name and logo. It also had a blue diamond emoji next to its name.

"Until Again brother Kim," the post was captioned. In the art card the text "Maraming Salamat, Alejandro 'Kim' Iligan Atienza" was written, with his date of birth and the supposed date of death, June 3, 2024, at the bottom.

Kuya Kim shared a screenshot of this TikTok on his social media pages with "HOAX" written in red.

"Nope, not today," he said.

His fellow TV personalities and others in the entertainment industry aired their annoyance at the fake news in the comments section of his post.

"Sobrang badtrip ako sa account na yan kuya. Naka off comment tapos iyong account niya sa TikTok, artists na pinatay niya," said actress Rita Daniela.

"What the hell?? Ano yan?? Why would anyone do that??" added Ashley Rivera.

"LUUUUHHHHH," Gretchen Fullido wrote.

In 2020, Kuya Kim was also the subject of a death hoax which said he died in a shooting incident in his home.

"I tried to pass this off and be quiet but my friends and family are worried. I have to address this fake news item now. I am very much alive and still working," he wrote on Facebook about the claim.

The TV host made the rounds recently after his daughter Eliana was suspended for joining pro-Palestine protests at the University of Pennsylvania.
