One hurt after armed men attempted to seize building in San Juan City
At least one person was hurt after armed men suddenly forced their way into a building along EDSA in San Juan City in an attempt to take over the property due to a supposed dispute.
At approximately 3 a.m. on March 13, unidentified individuals stormed the V.V. Soliven Building, vandalizing doors, shattering glass panels, and destroying CCTV cameras.

Amid the tension, one security guard suffered an injury after being struck on the head with a firearm.
The building is now under lockdown as police called for reinforcements to deescalate the violent situation.

The Special Weapons and Tactics team was deployed to secure the area, while the Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies was tasked to mediate the conflict between the two parties.
A corporate property dispute is reportedly the cause of the attack.

Some individuals involved in the takeover allegedly wanted to steal the land titles stored in the company’s vault.
The men have since been placed under the custody of the security agency of V.V. Soliven, while several company employees were unable to enter the locked-down premises.

V. V. Soliven is a realty corporation that initially sold subdivisions owned by reputable developers and landowners but has since expanded its business to constructing houses and developing subdivisions. (with reports from Mark Ernest Villeza)
