National Museum is now back to welcoming visitors after closing its doors for Marcos Jr.'s inauguration
The National Museum of the Philippines is reopening its doors after its temporary closure brought by the Ferdinand Marcos Jr. inauguration on June 30.
The museum announced the news via Facebook on July 4, four days after the 17th President's inaugural event and address.
During Marcos Jr.'s inauguration, the front steps of the complex were used to hold the First Family, Marcos Jr.'s cabinet members, and other esteemed guests.
The National Museum reopened its doors to the public amid the pandemic back in in November of 2021. They are now operating from Tuesdays to Sundays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free and walk-in visits are allowed.
The museum complex also houses four separate buildings in Manila, namely the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Planetarium. Marcos Jr. held his inauguration in the Fine Arts building.
