Not another logo?

Following PAGCOR’s controversial three-million-peso logo and the new “Bagong Pilipinas” branding, the Technical Education And Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is seeking help from the public for a new badge.

On Facebook, the government agency responsible for providing technical education and training programs for Filipino citizens announced that they will be having a logo-making contest for their new slogan: “Sa TESDA, Lingap ay Maaasahan."

"Through the years, the Agency has successfully reached millions of our Kababayans by providing inclusive and free Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) nationwide in various training modalities," TESDA said.

"The New TESDA Slogan demonstrates the Agency's stronger advocacy to level up the standard of access to quality-assured and globally competitive Tech-Voc and communicate to the public TESDA's aspiration to provide public service with a heart aligned with the Administration's Brand of Governance and Leadership 'Bagong Pilipinas,'" the agency added.

However, it noted that the contest isn't meant to change its official logo.

Netizens on social media have reacted with reactions to the logo-making contest, with some praising the initiative and others criticizing the prize money.

"Nice TESDA, learning from the mistakes of others," wrote one Facebook user.

“Sana may consolation prize naman. Sabagay anliit ata ng budget para sa logo eh hahahahaha,” said one netizen.

“Wala to maliit 10k.... Sa Pagcor pa din ako submit kahit walang bayad hahahha!” another netizen said.

Aspiring entrants can register and place their submissions starting July 18 to 31, 2023, via this Google Form or a QR code on the initial post.

Additionally, a one-paragraph explanation of the logo is required with the entry.

The Steering Committee will be awarding a P10,000 cash prize and a certificate of recognition to the winner of the competition. It said that the selected winner "shall be final."
