A vlogger has been issued a show cause order after performing a Superman motorcycle stunt on a public highway wearing only a brief and a crop top.

The Land Transportation Office in Western Visayas was flagged when a viral video of Boy Kayak, whose real name is Jimmy Lagunday Catarata, showed him lying face down while driving a motorcycle in an underwear and crop top in Barangay San Isidro, Ibajay, Aklan.

LTO-6 Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II said that such a stunt was a clear case of reckless driving, a violation under Section 48 of Republic Act No. 4136.

“Operating a vehicle in such a manner, without caution or regard for safety, is a violation of the law,” Geduspan said in a statement

Upon further investigation, it was found that Catarata has never held a valid driver's license. He was issued a show cause order and was given five days to explain why he should not be disqualified from obtaining a license in the future.

“What he did was extremely dangerous,” said Engr. Marlon Velez, Chief of the LTO Kalibo District Office. “As a content creator, he should be setting a good example. Instead, he showcased a blatant disregard for road safety. We also reminded him that online content can be used as admissible evidence for violations.”

According to GMA News, Catarata said he only did the stunt for entertainment purposes.

"Sana maintindihan nila na ginawa ko 'yun for entertainment purposes lang. Wala naman akong tinapakang ibang tao," he's quoted as saying.

He was slapped with a P3,000 fine for driving without a driver's license. He could also face permanent disqualification from obtaining one in the future, in accordance with the Joint Administrative Order No. 2014-01.
