Studio behind 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' sells out movie's pet rock on day one
Just when A24, the studio behind the hit film Everything Everywhere All at Once, began putting the film's pet rock for sale, the new merchandise was hoarded by avid fans, well, all at once.
On Jan. 26, the American independent entertainment company dropped the Everything Everywhere Pet Rock as one of the film's official merch on its online store.
The merch includes a rock with googly eyes placed in a paper nest with a care and training pamphlet.
It is stored in a box that resembles a happy meal in fast food restaurants, with the texts, "Oh good. You're Here Too." and "The greatest pet in any universe."
The packaging also states that Everything Everywhere Pet Rock was "approved by the original rock creator Gary Dahl."

What makes it extra special is that the rocks will not have a uniform appearance. “Rock size may vary," A24 wrote in the product's description.
While each rock comes with quite a hefty price tag of $35 (P2,000), the merchandise has quickly sold out in less than 24 hours since A24 announced its sale at 2 a.m. on Jan. 26.
At 5 p.m. of the same day, media outlets like Pop Crave broke the news that it was already sold out.

Prior to this, A24 dropped other items relevant to the film, including Hot Dog Finger Gloves, Googly Eyes, and the Auditor of the Month Trophy Candle.
The sale of Pet Rock comes two days after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that Everything Everywhere All at Once is nominated in 11 categories in this year's Oscars, including Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Picture.
