Feast like a king as we also introduce Leon the Lion, the 25-foot tall new addition to SM City Pampanga’s giant SM Squad—standing high alongside Ellie the Elephant and Gigi the Giraffe. These three characters are here to guide you through shopping adventures, from the latest fashion to the mouth-watering foodie experiences!
At the SM Foodie Festival, shoppers are treated to a unique culinary experience with Bestival Chef, featuring homegrown dishes prepared by chefs from various mall tenants. Be impressed by larger-than-life foodie displays at Big Bites, perfect for snapping those Insta-worthy photos that will leave everyone craving a taste of North Luzon!
The SM Foodie Festival brought an array of must-see, must-taste activities across SM malls, celebrating the best of North Luzon’s culinary scene in collaboration with tenants and local talents.
On September 21, SM City Urdaneta Central teamed-up with local favorite Bacon Buffalo & Beyond to create an epic 12-foot Giant Grazing Platter packed with all the crowd-pleasers - pizza, nachos, sliders, wings and so much more. SM City Olongapo Central, in partnership with Xtremely Xpresso and Mr. Arnel Cayamo, whipped up a 10-foot Tex-Mex Nacho Style dish with mango dressing on the same day.
Betty’s Native Cakes in SM City Tarlac prepared an 8-foot diameter Giant Kakanin, while SM City Baliwag teamed up with Okoy King to craft a 16-foot diameter Okoy and SM City Grand Central rounded up the events on this date with a 10-foot Bilao Feast Set featuring the best of CAMANAVA with Sapin-Sapin from Caloocan, Pansit of Malabon, Black Kutsinta from Navotas, and Putong Pulo from Valenzuela in collaboration with local tenant Rajah Palabok and Chef Ervin Virador—all on September 21.
On September 22, SM City Baguio, in partnership with The French Baker, showcased Baguio’s famous strawberries by baking 500 pieces of 4-inch Strawberry Danish Pastry. In SM City Tuguegarao, Hangout Resto prepared an impressive 250kg Pancit Batil Patong, while SM City Cabanatuan crafted 1500 pieces of Mamon Taisan in collaboration with Edna Gonzales from the famous Edna’s Cakeland. Meanwhile, SM City Bataan wowed visitors with 100 kilograms of Tinapa Rice with Tinapa rolls wrapped in fresh lettuce made by MESA with Executive Chef John Rey Antonio, all on the same day.
The festivities had gone extra exciting on September 24 with the live cooking of a 20-foot giant Kapampangan Sisig plate, in partnership with the renowned Mila’s Tokwat’ Baboy. And finally, on Friday, Vikings Luxury Buffet at SM City Pampanga delivered a feast of the Largest Assorted Delicacies including Kapampangan classic staples tibuk-tibok, tamalis, bibingkang nasi, pepalto, kutsinta and many more, concluding the festival with a sweet finale.
Throughout the festival, every mall was adorned with festive decor, lively entertainment, and irresistible dining deals, turning each visit into an unforgettable feast for the senses!
