LOOK: This hotel’s bubble pods allow you to safely dine and lounge while outdoors
ICYMI: Dining pods are a thing now, giving customers a new option for dining during the pandemic. Good thing for us, there's one establishment in Metro Manila that offers such experience.
Since the government has lifted restrictions in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ), people are already permitted to dine indoor or outdoor, albeit in less-crowded setting. Restaurants and hotels have been given the go signal to operate and accommodate no more than 50% of their regular capacity.
However, many still remain hesitant to venture out of their homes with the fear of transmitting or contracting the virus, which means that overall losses for restaurants and hotels still continue to mount.
Like other establishments, Sheraton Manila Hotel was affected by the temporary closure early to mid last year, and is now depending on dining to offset the loss.
Guided by the government's health and safety guidelines, some hotels like Sheraton Manila have thought of unique ways to welcome guests while keeping them protected from the virus.
Enter: The Vubble, the Philippines' first bubble pods. These dining bubbles allow guests to enjoy their meals while keeping a safe distance from other guests.

"The VUBBLES are completely enclosed in your own space with somebody in your own household and it protect you from all the people walking by," Sheraton wrote on their Facebook post.
The enclosed pods can seat up to four people when dining, and it comes with a 5-course meal. It can also accommodate two people if they want to lounge by the pool, get a massage treatment by the pool, or act as a play area for kids!
