Sayonara! BAKE Cheese Tart closes in the Philippines after 7 years

October is supposed to be about tricks and treats, however, a bitter surprise came from a popular Japanese dessert specialty store, which announced some unfortunate news: it is closing in the Philippines.

After seven years of serving up its signature cheesy goodness, BAKE Cheese Tart is saying sayonara to the Philippines, closing its doors at Podium and Power Plant Mall.

On social media, it wrote, "Thank you for 7 years of cheesy memories," captioning a post that said, "Thank you Manila."

An automated response on its Instagram account also said, "After 7 wonderful years, BAKE Philippines has permanently closed its doors. We are grateful for your support and the memories we shared. Thank you for being part of our journey!"

The store did not specify when they would exactly close.

BAKE Cheese Tart opened its first Philippine store in Podium in December 2017, followed by its Rockwell branch in January 2018.
