Home makeover? Take inspiration from Mimiyuuuh, Vice Ganda, Bea Alonzo and other celebs
The stay-at-home order brought about by the pandemic has given us the chance to take a step back and do the things that we didn’t have the time for pre-pandemic.
As we spend more of our days indoors, we are able to point out the areas at home that need improvement—not only to make them look better but also to maximize their functions.
If you’re like us who have decided to amp up our space while in quarantine, look no further! We’ve rounded up some design cues you can take from celebrity homes, which evoke a sense of calm and elegance as seen in their virtual tours. Read on.
Mimiyuuuh
Mimiyuuuh and her family have finally moved into a new home, which is the fruit of the well-loved YouTube star’s hard work. From having only one room in her previous place, she made sure that each relative would have their own little haven this time. Hers has just been turned from a plain white space into an aesthetically pleasing spot with the help of Acasa Design Story. Good lighting goes well with its mix of neutral colors, easily making it look like a villa in Bali.
Vice Ganda
Vice Ganda’s 1,300-sqm. property, which she initially bought for her late granddad six years ago, carries an amazing industrial design. Complementing its metal features are gold accents that brighten up the entire home. What caught our eye, aside from its spacious pool and elegant elevator, are the functional light accents alongside its staircase that make it look gorgeous from day to night.
Bea Alonzo
Built in 2012 with her good friend Jeizele delos Reyes-Go as its interior designer, Bea Alonzo’s home features a cozy dining room—all thanks to its wooden touch that gives her guests a warm feeling. In her vlog, she said that we don’t need to focus much on a certain theme for our abode but more on “how our home makes us feel.” What do you think?
Derek Ramsay
Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres may no longer be together, but not too long ago they gave a tour of Derek's house. It’s easy to get wowed by the overall look of this P1-billion house. We’re not just talking about its lovely accents but also the way it has been organized. For instance, its huge, minimalist cabinets that keep all their pantry essentials in place. It has so much storage in one area, including a big refrigerator and coffee station.
Gabbi Garcia
Gabbi Garcia’s tropical glam-themed abode will effortlessly catch your eye. From the gate, you will be welcomed with a nice garden that her father takes care of with his green thumb. Our favorite, though, is the vertical version that makes its mix of green and red leaves a stunning feature.
