LIST: Exciting deals and promos that can make mom the happiest on Mother's Day
It's already the month of May, and it's Mother's Day in a week's time.
Everybody's Mama, Mommy, or Nanay deserves a little extra on May 8 for all the sacrifices they've made.
Here are some brands that have special offerings for the occasion.
Tender Bob's
Steak and burger restaurant Tender Bob's is holding a "Make Mom Happy" challenge on TikTok—for a chance to get a free lunch meal date with mom on May 8.
Participants may record a TikTok video with their mom and/or siblings. They can dance, sing, cook, draw, and do everything under the sun, so long as they're showing the world how much they care about their mom.
They must use the hashtag #MakeMomHappy and tag Tender Bob's account @Tenderbobsph.
Three users with the most views are entitled to Tender Bob's free lunch in any of its branches at Greenhills, Shangri-La, or Bacoor.
Contest runs until May 6, the same day the winners will be announced.
Shakey's Philippines
Shakey's Philippines is giving out a basket of its signature three-piece chicken and mojos for advance delivery orders from May 1 to 7, with a minimum purchase of P1,500.
The restaurant has several choices for the Mother's Day lunch, including pizzas, burgers, pasta platters, soups, and salads. Pre-made bundles are also available at one's convenience.
Manila Ocean Park
Manila Ocean Park is presenting its Under the Sea voucher, which includes a seafood dinner buffet ticket, Jolly Splash attractions tickets for six, meet and greet with the Manila Ocean Park Mermaid, and a flower souvenir gift for the supermoms.
Until May 7, adults may avail of Under the Sea vouchers at P2,299 each, while kids 11 and below may get them at P1,839 each. Those below two feet are free of charge.
Registration starts at 3:00pm. Attractions tour will take place from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, while the dinner buffet happens at 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Visit their website for more information.
Pandora
Pandora has teamed up with Disney for its Mother's Day charm collection.
The charms depict the beloved Disney characters one's mom grew up with, like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Dumbo.
For a minimum single purchase of P10,000, Pandora is also giving away a limited edition bangle for free until Mother's Day.

Robinsons Malls
Robinsons Malls has teased several activities leading to Mother's Day.
In a post, it said it will have "Pampering Deals" for the mommas on May 1 to 15, as well as a sale for special gifts on May 2 to 8.
The mall will also hold "Date With Mom" and "Mommy Workshops" activities on May 7 to 8. During the same period, the spotlight will shine not only on biological mothers but also on plant and furmoms, according to Robinsons.
For the entire month of May, Robinsons is also launching its "Snapshots with Mom" campaign.

Avon Philippines has unveiled its Mother's Day brochure, which includes make up, fragrance, face care, body care, jewelry, and accessories.

Areum MNL
Areum MNL, the country's official distributor of Korean beauty product line Jennyhouse Cosmetics, said it will be giving away freebies to its first 50 customers on e-commerce platforms Lazada and Shopee up to May 8. Items include deluxe travel size products and beauty pouches.
Areum MNL also vowed to share additional discount codes if patrons share photos of their purchases.
Speaking of Lazada and Shopee, the two platforms will be holding their respective 5.5 (May 5) sales, perfect for mama's "budol" fix or retail therapy leading to May 8.
Nespresso
Until May 15, Nestlé's luxury coffee machine unit Nespresso is offering 10% off on any single machine purchased—plus a sleeve of its limited edition blends World Explorations Miami Espresso, Master Origins Papua New Guinea, or Master Origins Aged Sumatra.
Customers may also get a chance receive a special token when purchasing any machine from May 6 to 8.

Mother's Day won't be complete without a bouquet, whether it's fresh flowers or artificial ones, and Designer Blooms is up to the task.
Designer Blooms is offering a 10% early bird discount for pre-orders until May 4. Deliveries are scheduled on May 7 or 8.
They have Mixed Blooms, a bespoke arrangement of fresh and dried flowers that comes in two variations: Cosmopolitan, which has tones of pink and lilac, and Daquiri, which has radiant yellow and blush-toned flowers. Prices start at P2,795.
Their signature pieces are also available, like ecuadorian roses and lilies (starts at P4,995) and sunflowers (starts at P4,495).

French skincare brand Nuxe is offering up to 25% off on select products on Mother's Day.
A bigger discount of up to 40% off is also up for grabs when shopping at Rustan’s Makati, Shangri-la, or Alabang from May 6 to 15.
They also have a buy one get one promo on its Huile Prodigieuse® 50ml and 100ml variants. Its Crème Prodigieuse® Boost, meanwhile, is 30% off when buying one item from the collection and 35% off when buying two.
For the entire May, a free Prodigieux® Floral Le Parfum 15ml and Nuxe tote bag will be given to patrons for a minimum purchase of P4,000.
Cebuana Lhuillier
Cebuana Lhuillier is holding a nationwide jewelry sale from May 6 to 14 across over 3,000 branches nationwide, as well as on Cebuana Lhuillier Jewelry Premium and Just Jewel branches.
Buyers will get 10% off on all items and up to 50% discount on selected items in Cebuana Lhuillier branches, while Cebuana Lhuillier Jewelry Premium and Just Jewels branches are offering up to 15% off.
