Farmers’ Produce comes back with seasonal, organic products

Published May 31, 2021 3:35 pm

From June 3 to July 25, SM Supermalls’ market caravan, Farmers’ Produce, will be back at The Podium and SM Aura Premier to offer fresh produce and farm-to-table experience.

A joint project with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Resto PH, an association of restaurants in the Philippines, Farmers’ Produce will offer fresh and affordable fruits, vegetables, and various food products such as rice and honey from local farmers.

Also available are delicious takeout meals from OK Café, Gourmet Café, Moloko Handcrafted Cookies, Vikings, Pizza Express, Scouts Honor, and Oh My Greek, to name a few.

SM Supermalls President Steven Tan said, “We are excited to once again give shoppers access to products fresh from farms from various parts of the Philippines, while helping support local farmers who need all the help they can get amid this pandemic. With our tie-up with Resto PH, mallgoers will also have the rare chance to savor dishes prepared by partner restaurants using ingredients sourced directly from the farmers.”

“We’d like to invite everyone to come and visit this caravan and buy from our farmers and restaurants who have all been working hard to overcome the challenges brought on by this pandemic,” he added.

The caravan is one of SM Supermalls’ ways to help MSMEs, farmers, and restaurant owners and their employees, whose businesses are still affected by the health crisis.

Farmers’ Produce will be at The Podium on the following dates: June 3-5, June 10-12, July 1-3, and July 8-10. On June 3-5, purveyors will offer fresh produce, dairy products, coffee, chocolate, herbs and seedlings as well as aromatherapy massage oils, plants gardening tools, and more.

The caravan will also head to SM Aura Premier on June 18-20, June 25-27, July 16-18, and July 23-25.

So, head to Farmers’ Produce at SM this June and July and stock up on affordable and healthy food and local products. Your body is going to thank you for it, and you’ll be helping local farmers and partner restaurants in a big way, too.
