Holidays in 2021 to look forward to

President Rodrigo Duterte today declared  May 13, Thursday, a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Fitr, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan.  

Proclamation No. 1142 reads, “In order to bring the religious and cultural significance of Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, it is necessary to declare Thursday, 13 May 2021, a regular holiday throughout the country.”

The President said through the proclamation, “The entire Filipino should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr, subject to community quarantine, social distancing and other public health measures.”
