The Year of the Wood Dragon is almost here.

How are you welcoming the Lunar New Year? It officially starts on Saturday, Feb. 10. If you’re still preparing for your celebration, check out these offerings and promos that could make it more fun and exciting without breaking the bank.

For families of four to six, Chowking has launched a family lauriat (P699) with six of its crowd favorite offerings: Chinese-style fried chicken, pancit canton, siomai, buchi, Chicharap, and egg fried rice. It has also introduced the peanut buchi for the Chinese New Year, which will only be available for a limited time. The food brand will also hold an event with various activities that you can catch on its Facebook page on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Still haven’t shopped for some essentials for your CNY gathering? You might want to buy them on Foodpanda’s Pandamart, which is offering P500 off as well as a box of tikoy for only P99. You can also get a free ang pao pack if you spend a minimum of P499 on the app.

Sebastians’ 8 Treasures Rice ice cream is here to sweeten your entire year! Inspired by Ba Bao Fan or 8 Treasures Rice Pudding, this offering is made with sticky rice and garnished with red bean paste, goji berries, jujubes, ginkgo nuts, walnuts, squash seeds, dried apricots, and dried pineapple, finished off with a drizzle of honey. It’s priced at P150 per scoop.

The Empress Dining Palace

Ringing in the new year at home? The Empress Dining Palace has hot box feasts starting at P1,370+ per person. Placed in a self-heating box, each set features Chinese food favorites like yang chow rice, siomai, buchi, and so much more.

Hilton Manila

Hilton Manila has put together various delights perfect for gift-giving or even for your own celebration. It has auspicious hampers as well as Conrad Bangkok’s nian gao (Chinese New Year sweet rice cake) available until Feb. 18. The tikoy box costs P2,488 nett, while the deluxe and premium hampers are priced at P29,888 and P49,888, respectively.
