Want to fulfill your Maria Clara At Ibarra dreams with a real-life historical setting? There's no better place than Intramuros.

In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month this October, the Fort Santiago Tour Guides are organizing a free guided tour of Fort Santiago for curious historians and budding enthusiasts alike!

The free tour is a one-day-only affair to be held on Saturday, October 15, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. To avail, simply visit the Intramuros Visitors Center inside Fort Santiago on the 15th before 9:00 AM along with a valid ID.

Reservations aren't necessary, however, it should be remembered that Fort Santiago requests an entrance fee of P75 for regular visitors and P50 for senior citizens, students, PWDs, and government employees.

Built by the Spaniards in 1571, Fort Santiago serves as one of the oldest defensive walls in Manila. It was declared a Shrine of Freedom in the 1950s and remains as one of the most iconic memorial places for soldiers and the freedom that Filipinos sought during World War II.

Fort Santiago features a number of historical attractions such as the Plaza Moriones, Ruins of the American Barracks, Museo ni Rizal, and more.

If you're looking to get into the spookier parts of Intramuros, WanderManila is offering the midnight One Night in Intramuros tour featuring horror stories of the Walled City. Check it out here:
