It’s further explained on the beverage brand’s official website. “Yakult was created so that people could consume lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota), which is beneficial to people’s health. It’s important to consume Lactobacillus case strain Shirota every day,” they said, adding that this is exactly why they made it a point that each serving contains just the right amount.
If you’re like us who can’t get enough of it, you’d be happy to know that there’s a 500-ml Yakult drink you can enjoy. It’s important to note, however, that it’s “not simply an upsized version of the original,” according to Today Online. It appears to be its diluted version, and, for the reason mentioned above, it’s not formulated with the L. casei strain.
