Manila among Time Out's best cities for street food in 2026
Manila is on the map of the top 10 best cities in the world for street food in 2026, according to Time Out.
The global magazine published its annual ranking for top-notch curbside cuisine on July 30, with the Philippine capital placing fourth alongside Mexico City.
Time Out hailed Manila with a 58% approval rating based on its survey of 24,000 urbanites from different parts of the world. It took into consideration the street food's affordability and the quality of the city's food scene.
Ranking first with a 63% rating is Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, with the outlet lauding street food in Bến Thành Market like pho and banh mi.
In second place is Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia (62%), which is known for its open-air canteen vibe in Jalan Alor, where you can indulge in satay, whole-grilled fish, and char kway teow.
Tying in third are Jakarta, Indonesia and Taipei, Taiwan with 59%, respectively. Jakarta was recognized for its roadside warungs, or food stalls, where you can delight in spicy nasi goreng and gado-gadu, while Taipei was lauded for its night markets like the one in the Shilin district.
Rounding out the top 5 is Hanoi, Vietnam in sixth with 57%.
